Jewelry design and architecture, there are so many similarities. It’s not a coincidence that the star architect, Zaha Hadid, designed also a lot of jewelry. Architecture and purpose
Perhaps I told you before, but I adore watching Ted Talks. I tend to start my day with at least one Ted Talk of some sort. There are a lot of architects and talks about the future of our cities etc. on their channel. They inspire me! Lucky for us, the days of brutal buildings in just concrete are over, we are creating much more intelligent buildings today. More green, more light, more sustainability from energy to the whole life cycle of the building itself. I love Norman Foster and Mad Architects, but adore Zaha Hadid and think that architecture can have a huge impact on our well-being. Our longing for an experience and our need to connect, interact and create our own tribes.
Jewelry Design and Inspiration
How lovely would it be to hear more about the jewelry designers themselves, when you buy their jewelry? To hear what they had in mind, but even more: why they created it for you. What were they thinking, when they thought of you? It is not just their inspiration that is interesting, but far more; why should you want to wear it? Is their a symbolism behind it that resonates with the wearer of the jewelry? Does it stand for something that you love? Or is it simply unique? I would like jewelry designers to talk more about the people wearing their jewelry. Thinking more, perhaps, about the people who will want to wear the pieces. I like them to really connect with the clients, with the tribe that loves their jewelry. It happens too little still. Unlike an architect, a jewelry designer can much easier connect with you.

Big jewelry trend

Well, if that was your way of thinking, you might find that the architectural approach is much more suited for your lifestyle. Either way, I…the person who loves to wear silly animals and crazy colorful jewelry…love this style of jewelry too! Many of the pieces featured in this article are definitely jewelry that I would wear without any doubt.
